NEW YEARS EVE
& 2015 Reminiscing
So today is the last day of 2015. Which is absolutely ridiculous because I swear I sneezed sometime in 2014 and nek minute, it’s 2016?!?! Marty McFly, are you stuffing up the space time continuum again?!?!
2015 for me in a brief, yet nostalgic nutshell:
2015 has been filled with one too many solo dance offs in my room, a heckload of online streaming, multiple trips to Brunswick St, arguably one crystal necklace too many and chronic unemployment. It was also the time when I had my first year of uni. To the younger kids, if you’re concerned about starting uni, don’t be - it’s mainly youthful looking adults being confused as to what the damn hell is going on, mixed with one assignment too many and a whiff of the mature age student - a rarity. I also had more blogging adventures - blogging events, collaborations and got to meet more of you guys (some in person!) and can’t wait to see what blogging shenanigans 2016 has in store!
But that’s enough reminisin’, let’s take a step into today and get down into the nitty gritty of what went down during our New Year’s Eve family gathering…
Here’s a pic of us, looking very adult with our wine glasses, merely taken whilst undergoing our legitimate adult duties….
When Mum and I spoke about this, I didn’t answer because I have absolutely no idea. Who knows what awaits in 2016. Is it a part-time job? A new hairstyle? Will I be into crocs again? Mum’s answer was to ‘shoot for the starts’. Continuing on with the sentimentality, I reckon you should. Strive to make your dream a reality so those stars are no longer far away, they’re merely a fragment of your reality. *drops mic* 2016, I'm coming for ya !
HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU SPECTACULAR BEING !
