Tofu Burger
Now if you follow me on instagram, you'd know that I love a good veggie burger! As a result of this, to conjure my burger cravings, I made this delicious tofu burger recipe! It's so easy to make and so quick too!
Serving Size: about 3 servings
Ingredients:
- wholemeal buns
- 300g hard tofu, chopped into long, thin slices
- salad greens (I’d recommend spinach, lettuce, rocket or whatever you have on hand)
- tomato, sliced
- hummus
For the tofu marinade:
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of oregano
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
Method:
1. To make the marinade, place all ingredients into a bowl and stir. Place tofu in another bowl pour in the marinade and coat the tofu in the marinade. Leave to sit for at least 30 minutes. If you need more marinade, you could add about 1-2 tablespoons of water.
2. Then grill tofu on low heat until it begins to brown (you could also use pan)
3. To assemble the burger, slice the buns in half and layer it with the salad greens, tomato, tofu and hummus.
