A pilaf also known as 'pilau' is a rice dish cooked in stock usually consisting of meat and vegetables. It's kind of like a risotto but with an Indian or middle Eastern twist. The best part about cooking, is trying food of other cultures and after trying a pilaf a few times, I decided to try and make my own recipe. This recipe was adapted from looking at recipes I found online and it was definitely a success! This is my first comfort food savory recipe and was perfect after yet another week of cold weather. Vegan pancakes have become one of my recent discoveries. I never knew vegan pancakes existed, and wasn't sure if I would actually like them. But oh my, ever since I created my first batch of vegan pancakes, they have been one of my fave breakfast foods! They're the perfect comfort food and so simple to make too! This batch of pancakes were so light and fluffy and was the perfect pick me up for a busy day. When you're in the mood for pancakes, I'd definitely suggest giving this recipe a try! So maybe my tahini addiction is beginning to accumulate to higher extents. If you follow my instagram, it was only a matter of time and immensely predictable of me to make my next recipe tahini related. The worst thing happened... it was a saturday morning, there I was, looking forward to my weekend morning oatmeal... and there was no milk. And you know, I did what was predicted of a religious oatmeal lover...I has a hypothetical panic attack. Coz you know, no weekend is ever complete without oatmeal. Amirite? So, this happened. Behold, the creamiest, most comforting non-milk oatmeal. I'd even go to the extent of saying that is was just as creamy as porridge WITH milk. Would definitely recommend you try this recipe!
