Chocolate Bliss Balls
For those of you who don't know what 'bliss balls' are, they're actually sweet treats which are secretly hidden with nutrients! On the outside they look evil, but on the inside, they're angels in disguise! These are perfect when you get those snack cravings and are so filling too! They sort of look like truffles but are a veganised version and much healthier too!
Ingredients:
- 1 and a ½ cup nuts
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 8 pitted dates
- 1 teaspoon cocoa
- 1 tablespoon water
- coconut flakes
Method:
1. Place all ingredients except for the coconut flakes in a food processor and blend until it is well combined and mixture is no longer crumbly. (If it’s still too crumbly, add an extra tablespoon of water)
2. Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball shape. Repeat until all the mixture has been used.
3. Roll the bliss balls in the coconut flakes
4. Place in fridge for at least an hour. Enjoy!
Optional: if you have enough cocoa flakes, you could incorporate 1/2 cup of coconut flakes into the food processor and blend together with the other ingredients.
