For those of you who are employed- first of all, you lucky son of a gun and second of all, to save time so you can attend to life’s responsibilities, the majority of products listed were featured in this month’s September GoddnessMeBox. At the beginning of every month, they send you vegan goodies straight to your door- which, let’s be real, is pretty awesome!
I did try these a few months back and all I remember was that I was snacking on these beauties the day after my birthday - which to say the least was ‘eventful’. These are the perfect snack, topping and great for the morning after when you’ve seen better days.
I’ll be real, the first thing I thought when I saw these I was like ‘Ooh a beetroot chip… bit trippy eh?’, I could just hear my family saying ‘but where’s the red rock deli?!!?!’ but when I ate them… GODDAM. Never judge a book by its cover - or in this case the connotations associated with beetroot. Beetroot is more than a sandwich, salad or burger filling, they’re amazing by themselves in a chip form!
This is a superfood powder and is jam packed with a hefty load of nutrients such as chia, spiralina, alfalfa grass and if i named all of them, we'd be here for a millennium or something. Was a bit hesitant on trying this as I'm not a massive fan of green juices but oh mah, it legit tasted like fruit. It had a yummy acai mango flavour and was amazing! Had it with coconut juice and was super refreshing, tropical and took me back to summer - when times were better and i didn't have a 1500 word essay just pinching me to get it done already.
Being a massive fan of cacao, was as keen to give this a try. I think we should all take a moment of silence to appreciate how yummy their cacao. Soz dark chocolate with almonds, you better step up your game cos Koco Cacao is on the verge of choco domination. It was super delish and went so well with breakfast foods and sweet treats!
In other words, it means it’s super healthy water. Was a bit hesitant on giving it a try because it was brown in colour, but I thought to myself… What they hey? Why not? Life is a short as my 5’2 height, so what have I got to loose? It was super refreshing and tasted normal water. But get this - it was jam-packed with healthy stuff like electrolytes, minerals and even had a certain pH to assist your body. And for all you gym junkies, it’s said to help with post recovery too!
The extent to which I relate the name of this muesli is definitively indescribable. Banter is the ying to my yang, the turtleneck to my winter, the overalls to a minion- it completes everything, And so does this muesli. Super yummy and crunchy, the perfect breakfast topping to add a boost of flavour!
For someone like me whose lips become the Sahara desert if I don’t put lip balm at least twice a day, this is my saviour. I had their strawberry flavoured lip balm and it was so nourishing and were the rain to my Sahara desert.
Onno Behrends: Camomile Tea
Can’t go wrong with a comforting cuppa and this Onno Behrends tea delivered the goods. After a day of wanderein’ and window shopping whilst solemnly gazing at items of clothing I’ll never be able to afford (alright, I promise my unemployed hissy fit ends here), there was nothing better than coming home to a soothing cuppa.
