Everyday Cruelty Free Makeup Products
Hello lovely chickas!
How have you been?
What's been a happening?
But most importantly, have you been watching The Survivor? (I hope so).
Any who, since the second semester at uni has begun (well...it was when I began writing this... or maybe I pulled a cheeky Marty McFly and time travelled eh???), I have already accumulated a staggering amount of sleep debt that is forever impossible to repay.
And although my timetable is absolutely shocking, the heating there is on point, the lecture seats are comfy and some of the people I know there are really good at banter.
As a result of me having to leave the house, every now and then (when I can be bothered), I use makeup.
And NO.
Hell to the NO...
I ain't going for the Kookai, cake faced look (all good if that's you, but it just ain't my cuppa tea).
I merely am just going for a look that screams "I'm studious yet casual and an everyday kinda gal who is in love with her rainbow jacket".
I mean... just LOOK at it....

Isn't it just bloody beautiful?!?!
So here are the make up products I've been using...
For the lips...
1. Luk Beautifood - if you're keen for the "I eat organic and my skin is naturally glowing kinda look"
I have been using their lipsticks for years. Their lipsticks are made from organic ingredients and make your lips radiate! Bonus points for being a lip balm AND a lipstick! They're perfect for the uni vibez as the tones are snazzy yet won't take the attention away from your activewear or if we're pushing it, a cropped knit (both popular uni choices).
Here are my faves:
Mandarin & Cinnamon - perfect for the winter blues, colour is beige-ish, has a very mature, yet sophisticated lady vibe.
Chai Shimmer - a must have for summer, colour is a shiny beige nude which makes your lips glow for dayz .

2. INIKA "Naked Kiss" Lipstick
INIKA Cosmetics has been my latest discovery and the infatuation is accumulating as fast as my addiction to yams is. The lipstick I used is their "Naked Kiss" lipstick. And it is beyond words, so utterly cool because I think it goes really well with my skin tone and makes my lips shineeee!
Tip: would definitely recommend applying lip balm before you put the lipstick on as it's a bit dry on the lips !

For the eyes...
For the eyes:
1. Too Faced Mascara
Was over the moon when I realised Too Faced was cruelty free! This is my go to mascara that I use because the mascara brush is thick and it's super easy to use!
*OKAY, I confess.... I am the worst at applying mascara and it has come to the point that I don't give a rat tail if I get mascara on my eyelids because no one is going to notice and if they do, they really should be more engaged in the lecture slides or maybe even consider their course choice like bye Felicia*.
Big tip: the water proof mascara can be removed by using olive oil !

(I'm still on the hunt for some good quality vegan eye shadow so let me know your faves!)
For the face...
(all products here are from INIKA Cosmetics)
1. Loose Blooming nude Mineral Blush: Much to my dismay, if I'm not embarrassed or in 30 degree heat, my cheeks are aesthetically blatant as a potato....
SO my happiness was through the roof when I saw how every so rosey my cheeks look when I use this blush! It's free from harmful chemicals that could harm your skin and since my skin is super sensitive skin, it is perfect for me!

2. Inspiration Mineral Foundation:
I rarely put foundation on because my skin is v oily so when you mix that with foundation, it's a pore catastrophe (a... poreastrphe?!?! eh? see what I did there?) BUT when I'm feeling it, I like to get quite smancy with the foundation. Not overly fancy, more like... "look at me, I can foundation whilst holding my laptop omg I feel studious like rory gilmore, dean where u at?".
This foundation makes your face glow (in a subtle manner ofc), doesn't give off those cake face tones, nor does it make your pores feel like they're congested (yay to pore empowerment! #poremenism)

Oh yeah, and if anyone would be so kind enough to donate some sleep to yours truly, that would be lovely,
Namaste.
