The Primary School Crew
Today I caught up with these random beings I call ‘friends’- Caitlin & Phoebe. After many a banter on imessage about primary school nostalgia, we thought it was about time our grade 5 trio would reunite. And after weeks of finding a day we were free, it finally happened…
Me being the typical Melbourne vegan, it was pretty much mandatory for us catch up at Brunswick St. As we’re an indecisive bunch, whose lack of road crossing skills is concerning, it took as quite some time to find a place to eat. Our stomachs were growling like there was no tomorrow and hangry Andrea was on the verge of committing an act of violence.
And FINALLY, we found a place to eat - it was a Vietnamese restaurant. I had a veggie stir fry with rice and satay sauce.
The weather was surprisingly warm for summer (are you finally agreeing to conform to societal expectations Melbourne?) so we decided to get some ice cream at my fave place - Messina. I got two scoops - coffee & hazelnut praline and raspberry. Both vegan of course and delish! We ate ice cream outside and even though we’d caught up for hours, there were still more hilarious stories to tell. By that time, the hot day turned into a windy, rainy one and Melbourne became its usual self - the unpredictable bipolar wreck. Ah, classic Melbourne…
Appreciate yo friends, because they are all legendary and remarkable.
Oh and Melbourne, get yo crap together, my outfit was on point until your rain ruined my groove.
